The Cross of Christ: The Way of the Cross
Luke 9:22-27 (Pew Bible pg. 1609)

Stringent Call:
* Journey to Christmas.
* How do you deny yourself?
* Cost of discipleship.

Deny Yourself:
* Transfer ownership.
* God has a lawful claim.
* Yield your life.

Take Up Your Cross Daily:
* Invited to a scandal.
* Being more than a Christian.
* Being a disciple.

Follow Jesus:
* Bad news.
* Good news.
* Yes, Lord, yes!

Our Way of the Cross:
* No sugar coating.
* Not all Christians are disciples!
* From a baby Christian to a mature disciple.

The Cross:
* Cross separates.
* Cross bearers not just lovers.

A Pilgrim:
* Pilrgimage is for all.
* Apprehensive pilgrim.

An Eyewitness:
* Relustant eyewitness.
* Transformed by God's love.

A Servant:
* Costly privilege.
* Service filled with compassion.

Cross Bearers:
* No crown-wearers...
* Who were not cross-bearers.
* Some have to be pushed.
* Take up you cross daily.

We will have a new radio program called "Living the Rich Life" that will broadcast Pastor Rich's sermons and invite the community to attend our events. The station airing the program is WOAH-FM 106.3. It will be broadcasted on Sunday mornings @ 10-10:30 am. Spread the word about this new ministry!

New Youth Ministries Director

FUMC welcomes our new Youth Ministries Director. He is Patrick Heath. We are excited with his arrival. Our Youth Group will begin to meet on Sundays at 5 pm. These Youth meetings begin THIS Sunday (October 3). Welcome to our church staff family, Patrick!
